Ireland rugby team

One of the most awaited events of this year in the rugby world is the Limerick Gathering Festival, where many yesteryear Ireland Rugby team players and International Rugby players have committed their presence. This event is due to take place in Limerick during the month of October.

One may expect to see the likes of the former Ireland Rugby team players like Keith Wood, Shane Byrne, Peter Clohessey, Trevor Brennan, David Wallace, women’s six national grand slam winning international Joy Neville, the first man ever to receive the Heineken Cup, Emile Ntamack and England’s start player Jason Leonard.

There will be 25 mixed tag rugby teams that will include all the Ireland Rugby teams and many others from all over the world each of which will be led by a rugby legend. Each team will be allocated their legends on the basis of a draw inspired by the rugby world cup the evening before the prime event. This will be a weeklong festival in Limerick featuring many other forms of entertainment. Limerick will be the rugby lover’s paradise for the upcoming one week. This jubilance is going to be organized by the Limerick Civic Trust and will be supported by the Irish Tag Rugby Association.

Dr. James ring, the CEO of the Limerick Civic Trust was quoted saying, “The International Tag Rugby Festival has been months in the planning and we are delighted to be able to finally announce the event which forms part of the Year of the Gathering as well as being an important fundraiser for the Trust. We have received huge support from some of rugby’s biggest names and look forward to inviting tag rugby enthusiasts to tag a legend this October. Further information is available from tagrugby.ie.” The money raised will go to several trust projects including a proposed memorial for former limerick athletes.
